How are HOA grades calculated?

Each HOA gets a 0–100 Community Score combining five weighted dimensions: financial health, legal exposure, governance, completeness of public records, and resident voice. The score maps to a letter grade A–F. Full methodology is on our methodology page.

Is HOAs Graded affiliated with any HOA or management company?

No. We are an independent service. We accept no advertising or compensation from HOAs or management companies in exchange for ratings.

What's in the Full Grade Report?

The full report includes detailed financial dimension scores, a list of open litigation and regulatory actions, fee-history breakdowns, management-company track record, and reserve-fund analysis. One-time $9.99 per HOA.

Can I add my HOA?

Yes. Run a search; if your HOA isn't listed, fill in the submission form. We typically publish a baseline grade within 7 days.

How do reviews work?

Verified residents and former residents can submit reviews. We moderate for abuse but do not edit substantive feedback. All approved reviews are public and free to read.

What does the Agent Plan unlock?

Agents get unlimited Full Reports, shareable client links with open-tracking, watchlist alerts, and a co-branded report PDF. $49/month or $490/year.
